As is well known, Katja discovered racing with gokart in 2005, when she was barely five years. Already two years later, under the umbrella of Autoclub MPI Racing from Idrija began to attend matches at each won four other races, and two third places and at the end of their first national championship season, finished third, and CRO Sportstil Cup-Cup at the second place.

At the end of the second season has become vice champion of National Championship as well as Sportstil Cup, last year moved to category 3, Gazelle 60 free, due to technical failure in one of the races she finished the season in second place. This year, she met a great success and with the support of coach Matjaž Praznik that it is now in its third year, she won both complacency - both national championships in karting as Sportstil Cup.
