S štirimi prvimi mesti in tremi drugimi na posameznih dirkah je zmagala v skupnem seštevku točk ter tako postala državna prvakinja in hkrati tudi pokalna prvakinja Sportstilcup-a v razredu Rotax Max Junior. S preteklo sezono je, kot pravi, zelo zadovoljna:

Z obema uvrstitvama si je Katja priborila tudi nastop na svetovnem prvenstvu, ki bo od 25. do 29. novembra potekalo v španski Valenciji. Kako bodo potekale priprave na prihajajočo tekmovalno preizkušnjo in kakšna so njena pričakovanja?

Dosegla je najhitrejši čas v kvalifikacijah in prepričljivo zmagala tako v predfinalni kot v finalni dirki, kar je bil zagotovo lep zaključek počitnic in dobra spodbuda za začetek šolskega leta. Pred Katjo pa ostaja še zadnja dirka v letošnji sezoni, tokrat na domačih tleh, konec septembra na Vranskem.

In the qualifications in the Rotax Max Junior category is quite surprising fastest time achieved Gasper Mihevc. Katja Pivk was practically the fastest driver in whole qualification. Mihevc managed to improve the time in the final few laps because of driving behind Katja. He also achieved his first pole position. Katja Pivk only slower for tenth of a second had to settle for the second place. Karla Švec has achieved the third fastest time. Only four hundredths was slower than Klemen Jug in sixth place, seventh pole position for Luka Zeleznik, while Tim Jeric ended up in eighth place.

Prefinal race in the Rotax Max category was definitely one of those that you'll be remember the most. It all began soon after the start, when in the first corner after the start line Karla Švec crashed and landed on the hill, which is intended as a platform for viewers. The race was interrupted for this and drivers were stopped for so long that ill-fated car Karle get of the hill. Shortly before restarting the race Katja Pivk also had problems with her car. It did not start. The second start was successful. After a few turns at the bend in box we saw a collision between the leading Katja Pivk and Gašper Mihevc. Both are otherwise able to continue the race but they lost a lot of time. Most of happiness had Klemen Jug, who win the race with a lot of advantage against the second placed Katja Pivk. Luka Zeleznik is pulled through the goal as the third, Tim Jerič as a fourth. Karla Švec was fifth, Gasper Mihevc sixth.

Most of the race in finals led Klemen Jug. Katja Pivk closely followed, but she could not pass him until Klemen made an error which cost him victory. Katja Pivk won the race, Klemen Jug got second place just after Katja. Tim Jerič on third place had a very big gap of more than thirteen seconds. Almost immediately after Jeric other competitors finished the race. Luka Zeleznik was fourth, Karla Švec was fifth, Gasper Mihevc with pole position was disappointed on sixth place.

Katja Pivk from Žiri was again very successful. Some confusion at the start of prefinal race mean by a little less successful start for Katja, but she got back her lost time successfully and won second place. After putting all things to the right place in final race Katja won and got her third Laurel Wreath and winning cup this year.

In total now she leads both the Sportstil Cup and the National championship. After two weeks the next race will be held in Novi Marof in Croatia.

On the third karting race for Sportstil Cup 2014, a young Žiri's driver Katja Pivk again proved its superiority and won both the prefinal, as well as the final race.

Victory previous weekend was definitely a good sign for the next competition test, which will be in two weeks on home soil at Vransko.
